GOALS for students in BBSN Certification Class:
• To learn the theory and practice of the Holy Listening model.
• To increase understanding and awareness of the deep spirituality of
children and teens and the longing for reclaiming that spirituality for
many adults.
• To discover ways to best work with children and teens [and by extension,
adults] to help them recognize and use the spiritual gifts they have been
given by God.
• To explore Christian education possibilities inherent in Holy Listening
and Blessing Based Nurture.
• To learn to use Holy Listening methods in a variety of settings and with
different ages of children and teens [and by extension, with adults].
• To become more comfortable as a facilitator, allowing children, teens
and others to work through problems, make decisions and grow with God in
their own time in their own unique ways.
• To become able to work with groups of children, youth and others,
encouraging Christian growth.
• To become equipped and empowered to use the skills acquired during in
particular settings.
• To deepen personal spirituality
• To increase understanding of the biblical and theological foundations
upon which these ministries are based.
